Join Network For Progress, a social and media-savvy grassroots organization for the Mainstream Majority of “Sanity”-loving Americans inspired by the “Yes We Can” Movement of Hope and Change for a New Kind of Politics & Citizenship to overtake the extremist influence of the “Tea Party” Movement, for yet another Progress Party celebration as we continue our monthly mixer series where DC-area Progressives, Democrats and “Hope Mongers” can congregate to network and socialize to build our community for 2012 & beyond.

THIS MONTH:

We're proud to feature two amazing guests: Former Virginia Congressman Tom Perriello (@tomperriello) will discuss how we can "Occupy Capitol Hill" from the American Jobs Act to Election Day 2012...and November 8th in Virginia too!

Formerly of MSNBC's "Hardball", Current TV's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" anchor/correspondent David Shuster (@davidshuster) will discuss the progress of Occupy DC and the worldwide movement born on Wall Street on September 17 that has far surpassed the Tea Party in terms of national attention and possibly political action in the near future.

*ABOUT NETWORK FOR PROGRESS

As of February 10, 2011, the fourth anniversary of the Obama For America campaign, Network For Progress will serve as an interactive and creative online/offline political, civic, professional and personally-enriching Community, Advocate & Resource for the lessons of the "Yes We Can" Movement of Hope and Change to expand on the work of Organizing For America with the Mainstream Majority of Americans (including Democrats, Progressives, Independents, Republicans and those in between comprising young people and many other under-served constituencies) that voted for President Obama in 2008.

Network For Progress will promote the use of 21st Century “bottom up” Communication, Outreach & Leadership/Development grassroots-organizing techniques for an honest dialogue to create the necessary Personal Relationships & Viral Buzz to build a Movement that is continually being revolutionized by the growth of Google, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other networking tools but was under-utilized after Inauguration Day when the social, social media & Media vacuum of public discourse was filled by Tea Party/Fox News’ coordinated activism and only recently has been valiantly promoted by Jon Stewart’s quest for “Sanity.”

Network For Progress will provide a platform for supporters to become OUR own “Obama” who is empowered to bring PROGRESS to our professional and personal lives as well as our town, our state, our nation and our world as we approach 2012 and beyond.

“Network For Hope.  Network For Change.  Network For PROGRESS.”
